Our Mission is “Work Safe, Home Safe”. We are dedicated to ensuring our sites are a safe place to work for all. We ask everyone; management, employees, subcontractors and workers to do their part to ensure safe work practices are followed in all our projects.

 

Gold Shovel Standard (GSS) is a non-profit organization committed to improving workforce and public safety and the integrity of vital buried infrastructure. GSS believes that greater transparency in all aspects of damage prevention among buried-asset operators, locators and contractors is essential to drive continuous improvement, and vital to ensure increasingly safe working conditions and communities. 

 

WorkSafeBC administers the Workers Compensation Act for the British Columbia Ministry of Labour. WorkSafeBC has the legal authority to set and enforce occupational health and safety standards, assist injured or disabled workers, and assess employers and collect funds to operate WorkSafeBC.

 

Sun Ridge is registered with the Industry Training Authority (ITA) to help our employees gain certifications as equipment operators while on the job. ITA is responsible for leading and coordinating the skilled trades training and credentialing system for the province. ITA sets program standards, maintains credential records and issues the highly regarded Interprovincial Red Seal and B.C. Certificate of Qualifications (C of Q) credentials.


The British Columbia Forest Safety Council (BCFSC) is the health and safety association (HSA) for Harvesting, sawmills and pellet manufacturing in British Columbia. The BCFSC works with forest sector employers, workers unions, contractors and provincial government agencies to support industry in implementing changes necessary to eliminate fatalities and serious injuries in the forest sector.
